Don Brumley
Owner/Funeral Director
Don was born and raised in McAlester, graduating from McAlester High School in 1971. He then attended Oklahoma State University and then the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, graduating from the College of Mortuary Science in 1974. Don has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1974. He married Sherri Ward in 1977, and they have 3 children: Taylor, Hayden, and Kendall. Don has served on many professional and civic organizations. He is a past District Chairman (2 terms) and past District Governor for the Oklahoma Funeral Directors Association. He is a member and past president of the McAlester Rotary Club; past member and vice-chairman of the McAlester Youth Emergency Shelter Board of Directors; past member of the Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors; past member and president (2 terms) of the McAlester School District Board of Education.

Ryan Braswell

Ryan Braswell was born and raised in McAlester, graduating from McAlester High School in 1987. He attended Oklahoma Baptist University on a tennis scholarship and later attended the University of Central Oklahoma, graduating from the College of Mortuary Science in 1992. Ryan is married to Christina (Wold), and they have 2 sons, Layne and Connor. Ryan is a past district chairman (3 terms) and past district governor of the Oklahoma Funeral Directors Association. He is also a member and past board member of the McAlester Lions Club and a member of Lakewood Christian Church.

Shirley Mathews-Nelson
Secretary
Shirley Mathews has been with the funeral home in Hartshorne for over 30 years. She is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and is an active member of the Hartshorne American Legion. She has years of experience assisting families with all the required paperwork involved in funeral arrangements.
