Sharon Ann Barnes, 67, of McAlester, died September 22, 2014 at the St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Lakewood Christian Church with Pastor Cliff House officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.

Sharon was born on April 24, 1947 in McAlester to Harry and Mary (Holman) Rippee. She grew up in McAlester, attended McAlester schools, and has lived here all her life.

She worked at Komar for 35 years until her retirement. Sharon's favorite activities always involved her family. She loved to follow her kids and grandkids, putting many miles on the car to watch them perform in whatever activity they had.

She was a member of the Lakewood Christian Church in McAlester.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Barnes, of the home; two sons: Kenny Barnes and spouse Tina of McAlester, Keith Barnes of McAlester and spouse Tonya of McAlester; Five grandchildren: Ryan, Dakota, Josh, Whitney and Ashlea Barnes; Five great grandchildren: Malachi J'von Wrice, Dominique Clayton Wrice, Zaythen Deshawn Walker, Bryson Lee Barnes and Jace Alan Barnes; Sister-in-law: Evelyn Rippee; Two Daughters-in-law: Ranae Moody and Lee Jay Moody.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Mary and Harry Rippee; a son, Steven Kent Barnes; a great granddaughter, Rylee Jade Barnes; a brother, Ronald Gene Rippee and a family friend Jack E. Sanders.

Pallbearers will be Don Williams, Chris Martin, Roger Kelley, Rodney Kelley, Ralph Lalli, and Glyn Whitaker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Davis, Freddie Mills, Dennis Lalli, Clint Anderson, Dale Lackey, Dewayne Rippee, David Verner, Kendal Thompson, Phillip Smith, Cameron Fields, Randy Ott, Johnathan Troy, and Bob Thrasher
