Obituary

William Stuart "Bill" Webber, 83, lifelong resident of Hartshorne, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 in Oklahoma City.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 11th at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester with Rev. Anthony Washington officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Park Cemetery in Hartshorne. Pallbearers will be Chaisen Hill, William Patton, Marc Patton, Kevin Patton, David Henderson, Steve Henderson, and Matt Henderson.

Bill was born on October 17, 1942 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to Melvin S. and Leota E. (Williams) Webber. He married Betty Hall on November 13, 1961 in McAlester. He was County Commissioner for the Pittsburg County District #1 for many years. He also enjoyed ranching, horse and cattle breeding, reading, Freemasonry in McAlester, and spending time with his loved ones. He was inducted into the Cattlemen's Hall of Fame in 1982. He has two living sisters, Melva Webber and Leota Henderson.

Bill was preceded in death by his children, Billy Webber, Betty Webber, Natalie (Webber) Taylor, and Stuart Webber; his parents, Melvin and Leota Webber; grandparents, Alvin and Josephine Webber, Tealy and Henry Williams; sisters, Henrietta Wilson and Marva Johnson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
