William Nicklos Newport was born November 5, 1949 in McAlester to his parents Milo and Alice (Dobbs) Newport.  He was raised and educated in Borger, Texas from the age of 15.  He moved back to McAlester in 1990.  William passed away May 25, 2021 in the Franciscan Villa Senior Living in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.   He was 71 years 6 months and 20 days of age.  William enjoyed putting together puzzles.  Survivors include a sister Ellen Herron of Tulsa.  Nephews and Nieces, David Green and wife Crystal of Junction City, Kansas, Patrick Herron of Tulsa, James Newport of Victoria, Texas, Brandy Herron of Oklahoma City, Okla., Heaven Bond of Tulsa and Jerry and Joy Kahn of Porter.  Great Nephews and Nieces, Sean and Savannah Green, Chelsea and Desiree Pulse, McKenzie Stewart, Jaxton Jacobs, Andrew Gonzales, Aiden and Gwenyvere Herron, Liam Herron, William Ward, Kylee Roberts, Destainy Kahn, Jade Kahn and Daniel Kahn.  He was preceded in death by his Father Milo Newport and Mother Alice Newport and one brother Milo Newport Jr.
