William Joseph "Bill" Brock, 63, of McAlester, passed away Sept. 9, 2021 in McAlester.  A memorial service celebrating the life of Bill will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 11:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel.

Bill was born on Sept. 13, 1957 in New Albany, Indiana to Navarro Bryan Brock and Mary Lou (Willis) Brock.  He came to McAlester at the age of 16 from French Lick, Ind. and graduated from McAlester High School in 1975.  He attended the University of Oklahoma and then East Central University and earned a degree in accounting.  He quickly passed his certified accounting board exams and was a Certified Public Accountant.  He went to work for Blackman and McBee Accounting firm.  He was also an expert in computers and eventually began his own company, Brock Networking, and did accounting and computer work for several clients.  His most recent work was with Wallace Management.  Computers were not only his work but his hobby as well.  He also enjoyed most kinds of music and liked to go fishing.

Bill is survived by his children, Kyle Joseph Brock and wife Jessica, and Jessie Brown and husband Kody; grandchildren, Gabriel, Gage, and Gabriella Brown, and Benjamin and Harper Brock; 2 sisters, Becky James and husband Terry, and Beth Brock; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sharon Edgin.
