Wanda Mae Phillips, age 90, departed this life on Friday, March 3, 2023 in McAlester.  Viewing will be from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 8:00 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.  Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in Hartshorne with Pastor Kenny Morrow officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.

Wanda was born on November 7, 1932 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to Charley and Johnye Mae (Smith) Bookout.  She was a long-time resident of Hartshorne and a member of the Hartshorne United Methodist Church.

She owned and operated a beauty shop for six years.  She was active in the Methodist Church and her children's school activities.  She was an avid bowler who competed in regional and national competition.  She was married to Jim Phillips for 69 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Phillips; mother Johnye Mae and father, Charley Bookout; brothers, Charles Lothair, Barney and Bill Bookout; sister, Earlene Main and daughter-in-law, Sally Phillips.

Survivors include sons and wives, Michael and Sue Phillips, Dr. Lynn Phillips and Dr. Terrell and Tammy Phillips; grandchildren, Drew Phillips and fiancé, Britney Irby, Bailey Phillips, Wade and Cara Phillips, Dr. Tyler and Lisa Phillips, Tucker and Natalie Phillips, Dr. Graham and Nicole Busby, Nathan Blakely, Natalie Blakely, Jami Skimbo, Jake Phillips, James Michael Phillips and special friend Patricia Pawlata; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Phillips, Fitz Phillips and Nora Phillips.

Most of all she was a loving wife, mother and Momo.  She will be greatly missed.
