Tyler Lee Brown, 29, of McAlester, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026.  The family will welcome friends for visitation on Sunday, July 5, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Monday, July 6, at 10:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home, with David Miller officiating.  Burial will follow at Ulan Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Brandon Morrison, Robert Tighe, Howard Scroggins, Cody Smith, Steven Martin, Derek Prater, J. P. Wise, and Brandon Silva.  Honorary pallbearers are Stan Butler, Dakota Thomas, Michael Bennett, Derek Eagle, Keaton Crenshaw, J. P. Miller.

Tyler Lee Brown was born on Oct. 15, 1996 in McAlester to Timmy Lee Brown and Angela Nicole (Buckner) Richmond.  His family moved to Whitney, Texas when he was 16 years old, and he graduated from Whitney High School in 2016.  He has been back in McAlester for the past 7 years.  He worked with his dad for a while, and then his mother and step-dad, and was currently working as a heavy equipment operator for Brandon Morrison, clearing land, building ponds, and other outdoor operations; and he would try about anything, just get out of his way.  Tyler was a fun-loving young man who could make anyone smile in almost any circumstance.  He was also a helper; if anyone needed help with anything, he was there.  He enjoyed spending time at the lake with his friends, and riding 4-wheelers, and flying with his step-dad.  He also liked to help with the family cattle and horses.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Angela and Jeremy Richmond; father, Timmy and Amber Brown; sister, Erica Brown; step-sisters,Kinze Allen and fiancé Luke White, Cami Barlow and her son Corbin; grandparents, Glen and Margaret Brown, John and Karla Crittenden, Susie Banki, Rick Buckner and Donna Scrivner, Don Richmond, and Collen and Frank Dunfrund; aunts and uncles, Dale and Misty Brown, Jason Crittenden, Amanda Buckner and David Banki, Tommy and Rochelle Buckner, Crystal and Jason Crenshaw, David Buckner, Shawna and Ranjim Ponnequin, Sybil and Robert Stewart, and Greg Richmond; cousins, Cody and Christina Smith, Courtney Smith, Billy Brown, and Caitlyn and Jared Waldon; a special friend Kari White and her daughter Kamri.

Tyler as preceded in death by a brother, Cason Brown; a sister, Terra Richmond; great grandparents, grandma and grandpa Buckner, granny and grandpa Gregson, Rosa Pierce, and Andrew Crittenden; grandpa David L. Banki; grandpa, papa John Kelley; grandpa, David L. Banki; and an uncle, Allen Sistrunk.
