Tommy Dale Kitchell, 64, died Wednesday Nov. 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 7 at First Baptist Church of Hartshorne with Bro. Leon Mace officiating.

Services are under the direction of Brumely-Mills Funeral Home.

Tommy was born Feb. 17, 1958, in Oklahoma City, he was the son of Dale and Lavada Kitchell. He married Pamela Gwyn Stromski on June 26, 1981.

Tommy joined the U.S. Army in 1976 shortly after graduating from Hartshorne High School. Graduating top five in  his class of PV2 he was selected to serve with the 377 ^th Field Artillery in Germany until receiving his honorable discharge in 1979.

Growing up, Tommy had a love for showing off his water skiing skills at Lake Eufaula and boxing competively throughout high school and during his service overseas.

Tommy was a gifted brick mason for over 40 years, a skill he learned from his uncle Lawrence Kitchell.

Tommy was known for his contagious smile, carefree personality, and being full of good humor. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, sending songs and "funny" YouTube videos, and getting "Mema or Eric riled up".

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Kitchell of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Eric James & Mallory Kitchell of Hartshorne; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tisha Delaine and William Buzan of Hartshorne; Christina Denae Kitchell and Josh Stout of McAlester; 7 grandchildren, Lily-Dale Kitchell, Lincoln Kitchell, Raider Schoggins, Riglee Woten, Shelby and her husband James Goddard, Asher Lawrence, and Brodee Crawford; two great-grandchildren, Gus and Morley; his mother, Lavada Kitchell of Hartshorne; one sister & brother-in-law, Shellie & Noell Boutwell of Damascus, OR.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Dale Kitchell and his sister DeAnna Jean Kitchell.
