Tommy Lee Cantrell, Sr., age 72, of McAlester, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026 at his home near McAlester.
Arrangements for cremation have been completed. Services will be 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 6679 Ragan Rd. in McAlester.
Tommy Lee Cantrell, Sr. was born on November 10, 1953 in McAlester to Ralph and Charlene Cantrell. He grew up here and graduated from McAlester High School. After graduating, he hit the road as a long-haul truck driver. After a few years of that he started building houses in the McAlester area. He eventually went to work at the Alderson Regional Landfill, now Republic Services, as a mechanic and driver until his retirement. In his spare-time, Tommy liked to camp, fish, hunt, and also liked going to auctions of any kind.
Tommy is survived by his significant other, Jean Dofflemyer; his children, Zachary Cantrell, Wesley Cantrell, Michael Cantrell, Trenton McClellan and wife Jacee, Charity Cantrell, and Tommy Lee Cantrell, Jr.; grandchildren, Mackenzie Cantrell, Remington Cantrell, Palmer McClellan, Timberleigh Clayton, and several other grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frankie Cantrell.
