Timothy Paul Ramsey, 69, of McAlester, passed away Monday, Sept. 1, at his home.  A committal service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 10:00 a.m. at the Tannehill Cemetery pavilion.

Timothy Ramsey was born on Oct. 31, 1955 in McAlester to James and Lois (Ezell) Ramsey.  He grew up in Haywood where he attended elementary school.  He then went to Savanna school for 2 years, before moving to McAlester High School for the last 2 years, where he graduated.  He will be remembered as a manager in the family business, the Ramsey Music Store in downtown McAlester, for a number of years.  He also spent time in his shop doing wood crafts and making jewelry; and he loved to play pool.   He was a member of the Haywood Baptist Church.

Tim is survived by his sisters, Ramona James and husband Gerry, Rebecca Cox, and Pat Martin; a brother, David H. Ramsey; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, and 2 brothers-in-law, Dennis Cox and Clifford Martin.
