Timothy Charles Maddux, 42, of Hartshorne, passed away Thursday, March 14, in Hartshorne.  The family will welcome friends for visitation on Sunday, March 17, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.  Funeral services will be Monday, March 18, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Hartshorne, with Pastor Daniel Miller   officiating.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Cole Maddux, Andrew Lopez, Billy Freeburg, Rusty Clifton, Rusty Schneder, Earnie Russel and Paul McCarrol. Honorary pallbearers will be all of the faculty and staff at Hartshorne Public Schools. Tim was born on Feb. 19, 1982 in McAlester to Gary Buck and Jo Roberta (Griffin) Maddux.  He grew up in Hartshorne and graduated from Hartshorne High School in 2000. He is a member of the Hartshorne First Baptist Church. Tim has been working as a custodian at the Hartshorne Elementary School for the past 15 years. A job his dad performed for over 30 years.  Tim had always helped his dad, not only at work when needed, but also maintaining and cleaning the church, and in his garden.  Tim was that kind of man, thinking about other's needs more than his own.  He was a true servant. Tim enjoyed staying active by walking the track in McAlester where he was always meeting new acquaintances and making new friends. One of his favorite things to do was to spend time with his niece, Grace, which consisted of taking her to The Dollar Store, where he would buy her whatever she wanted. Tim is survived by his parents, Gary and Jo Maddux; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Kristy Maddux; a sister and brother-in-law, Gari Beth and Billy Freeburg; nieces and nephew, Shelby Dunn and her children, Esme and Annaray, Cole Maddux, and Autumn and Grace Freeburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
