McAlester
Tim Alan Moody, 65, of McAlester, passed away on April 4, 20925 in McAlester. His family will host a service of remembrance on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
Tim Alan Moody was born on Nov. 5, 1959 in McAlester to Jim Moody and Jane (McAlpine) Moody. Tim attended school in McAlester until 1970 when his dad joined the Highway Patrol and the family moved to Healdton, Ok. He graduated from Healdton High School. Tim was baptized in the Methodist church in Healdton. He married Julie Layne in Ardmore in 1988 and they made McAlester their home. Tim worked in the heat and air business for several years. Growing up, Tim enjoyed archery, along with his brother, Mike, and his mom and dad. They belonged to the McAlester Field Archers, and attended tournaments around the state. He also loved building and flying model R/C airplanes with friends and family. Tim loved cars, and had a 1967 Callifornia Chevy truck he always intended to restore.
Tim is survived by his mother, Jane Moody and friend, Lowell Howell; daughters, Ashley Layne, Kayla Moody, Megan Fogerty Anderson and her husband Thomas; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Taylor, Ashlynn Moody, and Jaxon Fogerty Anderson; cousins, Buddy and Jeneice Cable, Sandy and Bryan Coleman, Patricia and Nathan Whitney, Jerry Wayne Morgan, and Terry Lynn Hodges; and special friends, Kimberly Goodspeed and Lee McCray. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Moody, in 1972; grandparents, Loy and Gertrude Moody, and Cecil and Pauline McAlpine; his brother, Mike Moody in 2022; uncles, Bill McAlpine, Gerald Moody, and Lowell Cable; an aunt, June Cable; cousins, Loy Gene Moody, Steve Morgan, Kevin McAlpine, Randy McAlpine, Janice Sanders, and Kenny Cable.
Tim lived the last 5 years with his Mom, due to health issues. He became pretty prolific in his amusing texts to his mom whenever he needed something. He never wanted to be a bother…and never was.
