Thomas J. Welch, Jr., 63, of Wilburton, passed away Wednesday, February 23 in Wilburton.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 2, at 1:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.

Tom Welch, Jr. was born on March 5, 1959 in Guymon, Oklahoma to Thomas Welch, Sr. and Ann Lynell (Dawson) Welch.  He grew up in Texhoma, where he graduated from high school, then attended the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Sciences.  After earning his funeral directors and embalmers license, he had a lengthy career in funeral service, working at funeral homes in Idabel, Broken Bow, Madill, Hartshorne and McAlester, and at his family funeral home in Texhoma.

Tom is survived by 2 sons, Colby Welch and wife Natalie and their daughter, Brooklyn; and Cayton Welch; the mother of his children, Rachel Welch; and 3 sisters, Deborah Bohn, Dawn Gandy, and Lisa Wadsworth.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
