Theda Disilvestro, age 90, of McAlester, passed away Monday, October 28, 2024 at McAlester Regional Health Center. Funeral services are set for Tuesday, November 5, at 10:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Theda Disilvestro was born on April 16, 1934 in Pittsburg County to Mike and Cecil (Barlow) Lewis. She grew up near Indianola and graduated from Indianola High School. She lived in Tulsa and Oklahoma City briefly, but has lived in the McAlester area most of her life. She married Bill Disilvestro on March 22, 1982. Theda worked as a beautician for a few years, then went to work at The Bank, NA, eventually retiring as head teller. Theda loved to travel and loved to go shopping. Those two activities were most often combined into one. Theda was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Krebs.
Theda is survived by a daughter, Melodie Schooler-Jones; a son, Mark Wingo and his wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Misty Thompson, Derrick Wingo, Weston Wingo, and Ethan Wingo, as well as several other grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Pauline Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; a grandson, Josh Schooler; a brother, Truman Lewis, and a sister, Norma Lewis.
