Tasha LaDawn Harrison, 39, of McAlester, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, at her home.  Funeral services are set for Thursday, Sept. 12, at 2:00 p.m. at the Tannehill Free Will Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Tannehill Cemetery.

Tasha Harrison was born on Nov. 29, 1984 in McAlester to Jackie Lynn Jewell and Sharon K. (Garman) Jewell.  She grew up here and graduated from Crowder High School.  She married Jessie Harrison, Jr. on Feb. 7, 2009.  Tasha has worked in day cares, at McDonald's, the Sonic, and had just started working as a para-professional in the special education program at McAlester High School.  That job was a perfect fit for Tasha because she absolutely loved children.  In her s pare-time she loved going camping with the family.

Tasha is survived by her husband, Jessie Harrison, Jr.; a sister, Brandy Armour; a brother, Christopher Labor; nieces DeNisha Johnson and Chontae Johnson; and 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was preceded n death by her parents; a brother, Danny Jewell; a sister, Chasity Wedlaw; and a sister-in-law, Titania Harrison.
