Taner Jeorge James Maxey, 39, of Kiowa, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in Kiowa.

He was born on September 13, 1983 in Ada, Oklahoma. He enjoyed drawing and cooking out.  He was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents, George Stanley James and Sheila Marie James and his bonus parents, Eddie and Lynda Maxey; wife, Randi Maxey and children, Kaydance and Christopher; brother Wallace Maxey and nieces, Zoey Marie Maxey and Summer Maxey; brother, Marshall Maxey and niece, Marilyn Maxey; sister, Nikita Cearley, nieces and a nephew, Pecanli Peasha, Grace LeFlore, Hunter Cearley and Nikiah Cearley; sister, Keri Paxton, nieces and nephew, Rashell Pierson, Brooklynn LeFlore, Leah Paxton and Ayden Paxton; sister, Kathryn Kelley, nephew and nieces, Michael Edwards, Jayden Edwards and Emberlyn Kelley; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Heavenly Angel, Jude Marie and Jacob Maxey.

The family will conduct a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Ridgecrest Community Center at the 1500 block of E. Chickasaw.
