Susan Dianne Isbell, 73, of McAlester, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at her home.

Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.  Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester with Rev. Gaylon Brannon officiating.  Burial will follow at the Isbell Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Phelps, Dusty Murdaugh, Roy Paul Rodgers, Pete Manschrick, Gaylon Brannon and Johnny Baucom.

Susan was born on September 29, 1950 in McAlester to Elmer and Gracie (Nobles) Bullard. She married Marvin Kenneth Isbell on August 21, 1970 at Mekko Baptist Church.  She worked for the Chamber of Commerce and was manager for the Rocket Bowl before it closed, but her real joy in life was taking care of her home and dogs.  She also enjoyed gardening, dancing and bowling.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Marty Isbell and wife, Paula, and Marlan Isbell; grandchildren and spouses, Miranda Fryer and husband, Jonathan, and Marvin Isbell and wife, Linda; her mother, Gracie Bullard-O'Neal; and a brother, David Royer.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Isbell in 1996; father, Elmer Bullard; step-father, John O'Neal; sister, Gerry Gibson; grandparents, Frank and Susan Bullard, Sam and Ada Nobles.
