Steven Edward Whitney, 74, of Krebs, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, at McAlester Regional Health Center.  Cremation arrangements have been completed by the family.  No services are planned at this time.

Steve Whitney was born on July 19, 1950 in Arkansas.  He moved to the McAlester area when he was 14 years old, and has lived mostly in Krebs, since then.  He worked at Auto Zone for over 20 years.

Steve is survived by his wife, Terry McKee; children, Kevin Smith and Yuliya Zhugina, Alesha and Justin Odom, and Chris and Jenny Smith; grandchildren, Danielle Odom, Sabella Smith, Jacob Whorton, and Zach Whorton.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Mitzi.
