Steve Edward Suter, 65, of Hartshorne, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024 in McAlester Regional Health Center.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.  Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Brumley-Mills Chapel in Hartshorne with Pastor Kenny Morrow officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Kayson Medina, Laban Medina, Bryson Cervantes, Trent Clunn, Kai Barcheers, Donnie Proe and Mark Hall.

Steve was born on April 11, 1959 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to Joe and June (Scott) Suter.  He graduated from Hartshorne High School.  He married Ramona Cole on March 7, 1980 in Gowen, Oklahoma. He was a member of Edgewood United Methodist Church in Hartshorne.  He was a family man and loved his family.  He enjoyed hunting arrowheads and deer hunting with his grandsons.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona Suter; daughters and sons-in-law, Janell and Jake Phillips, Amanda and Miguel Cervantes, Dana Barcheers and Caleb; grandchildren, Ieesha Suter, Kayson and Natalia Medina, Laban Medina, Bryson Cervantes, Hannah and Trent Clunn, Liliana Cervantes, Aspen Barcheers and Kai Barcheers; parents, Joe and June Suter; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Dennis Dobson, Carolyn Overton and Aaron; brothers, Mike Suter and Gary Bennight; numerous nieces, nephews and his beloved dog, Maggie; sisters-in-law, Retha Wilson, Donna Woolsey and Curtis, Karla and Clem Peppers, and Stacey Cole.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vera and Lester Scott, and Mary Eikleberry; in-laws, Dale and Virginia Cole; and a brother-in-law, Bill Wilson.
