Sharon Nadine Watson, 70, of McAlester, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024 in Tulsa.
Sharon was born on July 24, 1953 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Jess Glen Pendergraft and Dorothy Nadine (Roberts) Pendergraft. She was 5-6 years old when she moved to McAlester and graduated from McAlester High School in the class of 1971. She was a member of the Roundup Club and Ranchettes, where she carried the American flag in parades and rodeos, and also posting the colors for rodeos. She worked for 15 years at the American Bank of Commerce in 1976, which changed to BancFirst in 1991. In November 1991, she went to work for the Oklahoma State Penitentiary as a correctional officer and retired in 2015. She married Larry Watson on May 16, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She loved her grandbabies, fishing, bowling, horses and Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Watson; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Wendy Lamb; step-sons and spouses, Kevin and Lori Watson, Jason and Lori Watson; grandchildren, Luvlyn Watson, Graham Watson and Baylee Lamb; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Pat Crosier; nieces and nephews, Tracy Stanbury, Karen Crosier, Jeff Crosier and Terri Lee; numerous great-nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Sandy Haikey, Liz Shaw, Pam Ragan, Melody Bryant, Pat Prater, Kristi Wingo, Mandy Reding and Linda Heacock.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jess Glen Pendergraft; mother, Dorothy Nadine Pendergraft and a grandson, Cash Lamb.
Active pallbearers will be Justin Whaley, William Ward, Marlon Moore, Virgil Young, Larry Long and Mark Aldridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Young, Jerry Lamb, Bennie Greenway, Walter Dinwiddie, Wesley Harness, Mark Schoggins, Robert Weaver and Mike Maffeo.
