Sandra Christine Dawson, 73, of Haileyville, passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 at McAlester Regional Health Center.  A memorial service is planned for Saturday, July 12th at 3:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.

Sandra Dawson was born on October 1, 1951 in McAlester to James Edward Kyzer and Jessie Martha (Ross) Kyzer.  She grew up in Hartshorne and graduated from Hartshorne High School.  She worked at Oklahoma Aerotronics for a short time before going to work at Wal-Mart, where she had worked for over 20 years.  Most of that time was working in the photo lab, then she moved to the bakery for a short time.  In her spare-time she enjoyed working in her yard and her flower gardens.

Sandra is survived by her children, David Dawson and wife Vanessa, and Mike Dawson and wife Tara; 9 grandchildren, Bryce, Corbin, Tiffany, Mitchel, Alyson, Sean, David, Kaylinn, and Annie; a great grandchild, Lyra; 3 sisters, Karen Jones and Ron, Nora Mosley and Carl, and Jyme Tiner and George; and a brother, Jim Kyzer and Pam.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Neil, and a daughter, Kristen.
