Samantha Rose Price, 20, of McAlester passed away Sunday, Aug. 1, at her home in McAlester.  the family will welcome friends for visitation on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.  A memorial funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 7 at 5:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester, with Rev. Richard Dixon officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the McAlester Animal Shelter.

Samantha Rose Price was born on Jan. 24, 2001 in McAlester to Jerry Lee Price and Amanda Rose (McDaniel) Price.  Her early infant years were spent in Savanna but McAlester has been her home virtually all her life.  She graduated from McAlester High School in 2019 then attended Murray State College for a couple of years.  She was working as a veterinarian assistant, first for Oklahoma Vet Med and currently for Sewell Animal Hospital.  Animals were a big part of Samantha's life, so veterinarian work was a natural fit.  She loved hanging out with her friends and driving through the woods on country roads.  She also loved just spending time with all her family.

Samantha is survived by her parents, Jerry and Amanda  Price; a brother, Austin Keith Graham; aunts and uncles, Terry and Tracey Price, Gary Price, Rebeckah Cravines, Blake McDaniel, Clayton and Lillian McDaniel, Cody and Chrissy McDaniel, and Daniel and Allison Dixon; cousins, Tyler Cravines, Kristy Price, Paige Warren, Asia Stewart, Tristan McDaniel, Cade McDaniel, Cooper McDaniel, Colbie McDaniel, Charlotte McDaniel, Grayson McDaniel, Keelan Price, Kiara Price, and Kailey Hart; grandparents, Archie Price, Eldon Keith McDaniel, Michele McDaniel and Linda Williams; her great grandmother, Thelma McDaniel; and her best friend, Christian Leedom.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, LaRhonda Marlow and Connie Brownfield.
