Robert Wayne Medley, 72, of Eufaula, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, at his home near Eufaula.  Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec.17, at 1:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester.  Burial will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery near Scipio.

Robert Medley was born on June 6th, 1950 in Tehachippi, Calif. to Robert and Kathaleen (Hoppock) Medley.  He came here as a child, grew up here, and graduated from McAlester High School in 1968.  Soon after graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served for over 4 years, earning his honorable discharge in 1972.  He then continued his education, eventually receiving 2 Bachelor Degrees and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice.  During this time he was also working at the Army Ammunition Plant.  He then went to work at the Muskogee Police Department as a patrol officer and worked his way up to First Detective.  He retired from the Muskogee Police Dept. in 1983 and went to work for the Probation and Parole office in Oklahoma City as a parole officer.  After that he worked for a short time at Ft. Hood, Tx.  Robert loved working on cars and was a Corvette enthusiast, having owned and rebuilt several Corvettes over the years.  He was also a big fan of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and loved to watch OU football.

Robert is survived by 2 daughters, Shay Medley and Laura Medley; grandchildren, Delaney Blanco, Lane Blanco, Tristan McDonald, Karsen King, Major Morgan, and Marlee Morgan; great grandchildren, Gracey Blanco, Cole Blanco, Emma Blanco, and Serenity Graham; and 2 sisters, Doris Medley Davis and Barbara Nelson.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lacy Medley; former wife, Ann Medley; and 2 brothers, Joe and Jimmy Medley.
