Rickey Harold Miller, Sr., 67, of Stuart, passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, at his home near Stuart.  A memorial service will be held for Rickey on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 2:00 p.m. at the Palestine Community Church near Quinton, with Wilma Jo Mahan officiating.  Pallbearers will be Tommy, Bill, Tony and Kenny Miller.  Honorary pallbearers are Daryl Blaylock, Charlie Garrett, David Anthamatten, Dewey Wimberly, Sam Craven, Lari Bonham, Tyler Breedlove, Kenneth Miller, Brad Baxter, Stormy Baxter, joe Breedlove, Stevie Breedlove, Dennis Satterfield, Gavin Miller Jared Miller, Daniel Miller, Robert Miller, Josh Walton, Caleb Walton, Jesse Miller, and Wayne Leewright.

Rickey Miller was born on July 21, 1954 in Quinton to Robert "Bob" and Delphia (Haddox) Miller.  He dearly loved children and the elderly.  He served in the U. S. Army SSE and worked as a federal correctional officer for 24 years at the El Reno Prison.  He served as vice president of the correctional officer's union for 16 years over 19 federal prisons, then was chief steward of Local 171 before his retirement.  He loved to go bass fishing, deer hunting, woodworking and raising calves.  But closest to his heart was his whole family and friends.

Rickey is survived by his wife of 20 years, Ruthie Leewright, of the home; his children, Gary Biggs and wife Christie of Temperance, Mich., and Rickey H. Miller, Jr and friend Liz of Orwello, Ohio; grandchildren are Kayla, Brandon, Jordyn and Paityn; brothers, Tommy Miller, Bill Miller, Tony Bob Miller, and Kenny Joe Miller all of Quinton; sisters, Elaine Breedlove and husband Joe of Quinton, Nancy Satterfield and husband Dennis of Quinton, Penny Baxter and husband James of Spiro, Connie Walton and husband Jeff of Bella Vista, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved so much.
