Richard Larry Casey, 80, of Hartshorne, passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, at McAlester Regional Health Center.  The family will welcome friends for visitation on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester.

Richard Larry Casey was born on July 12, 1945 in McAlester to Jess Samuel Casey and Margaret Roberta (Frank) Casey.  His family moved around a lot during his childhood, and he has lived in Hartshorne the past 8 years.  Richard served in the U. S. Air Force for a couple of years.  After that, he worked as a correctional officer at the state prison here, then worked as a dry wall installer for several years.  In his spare-time he enjoyed hunting, cooking, and watching television.

Richard is survived by grandchildren, Korin Gosney and spouse Trevor Branam; Lylyan Casey, Ashley Casey, and Kaitlyn Casey; 2 sisters, Sandy McIntosh and husband Martin, and Jeannie Leafty and husband Greg; a brother, Danny Casey; a daughter-in-law, Terisue Casey; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard Larry Casey, II, and a niece, Mindy McIntosh.
