Rebecca Ann Nichter, 55, of Hartshorne, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2021 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hartshorne with Rev. Clint Pope officiating.  Burial will follow at Mountain Station Cemetery in the Higgins Community.  Pallbearers will be John Paul Nichter, David Holt, Dylan Vogle, Jagger Hinds, John Pedigo, John Sokolosky and Mike Holt.

She was born on October 25, 1965 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Robert "Sonny" and Mary Jane (Anderson) Nichter.  She graduated from Hartshorne High School and Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton.  She has worked for Jones Academy for the past 14 years.  She volunteered with numerous Choctaw activities and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hartshorne.

Survivors include two sons, Travis Woods of Ada, OK and Forrest Woods of Hartshorne, OK; three grandchildren, Kenidee Woods, Kruz Woods and Atom Woods; parents, Robert "Sonny" and Mary Jane Nichter of Hartshorne, OK; three nephews, John Paul Nichter, Seth Nichter and Robert John Nichter, Jr.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert "Bobby" John Nichter; grandparents, Paul and Anna Belle Nichter, John and Mary Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the First National Bank in Hartshorne, Wilburton or McAlester in Rebecca's name.
