Obituary

Randall Joseph Blocks, 62, of McAlester, passed away Tuesday, July 28th, 2026 at his home in Arpelar. Arrangements for cremations have been completed by his family and they will schedule a Celebration of Life for Randy at a later date.

Randy Blocks was born on February 28th, 1964 in Libertyville, Illinois to Donald Blocks and Marilyn (Sikula) Blocks-Morris.  He moved from Illinois to Hartshorne in 1984 and worked a short time for TH Rogers Lumber Company in Hartshorne. He then began working with his Uncle Jim Russell in construction for a bit, then went to work for W.O. Pettit Oil & Gas Company in Hartshorne as a carpenter for 26 years. Randy also worked at Tannehill Schools as maintenance director for several years. After leaving Tannehill Schools he began working in the Parks Department for the City of McAlester for the last 5 years until his passing. He was a wonderful carpenter and could build just about anything from wood. Randy enjoyed men's softball and played a lot as a young man with a group of men that became some of his best friends. He also enjoyed helping his Uncle Jim with coaching girls summer softball where he met his 1st wife Wendi. Together they shared many years of life and were blessed with their children Spencer and Katelyn. He always loved to deer hunt and spend time at the cabin with his family, he also loved to fish.

Randy is survived by his wife, Karen Weiler; his children, son Spencer Blocks and wife Kendall, daughter Katelyn Rodriguez and husband Sebastian; his mother, Marilyn Morris; a granddaughter, Journey Blocks and soon-to-be grandson Rafe Rodriguez; step-children, Mathias Grabau and wife Alexandria, Nicholas Weiler and wife MaKynna; a brother Brian Blocks and 2 sisters, Laura Graber and husband Terry, and Darcy McNeil and husband Bill; step-siblings, Carl Morris and wife Kelly, Michelle Rainer and husband Daryl, and Donna Morris and companion Elizabeth Stefanik; special aunts and uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father Donald Blocks and step-father Harvey Morris.
