Phillip Martin McFarland, 78, of Gowen, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at his home near Gowen.  Viewing and visitation will be Sunday, August 31, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.  Graveside funeral services are set for Monday, September 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gowen-Cambria Cemetery.

Phillip McFarland was born on March 5, 1947 in Haileyville.  He grew up there and graduated from Haileyville High School.  After graduation, he joined the U. S. Navy and served for 4 years, including a deployment in Viet Nam.  Phillip worked at several different things, but was mainly a carpenter, working in construction and construction planning.  He was married to Lisa Givens.  Phillip enjoyed going camping and fishing and hanging out with his friends.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Lisa McFarland; a step-son, Kyzer Emberton; and a brother, Wesley McFarland.
