Nellie Rosetta Bargas, 79, of McAlester, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at her home.

Viewing will be on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18th at the Faith Tabernacle Church, 1 W. Kiowa Ave., McAlester, with Pastor Steven Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery in McAlester. Pallbearers will be Dewayne Rippee, Zoen Bargas, Juniper Bargas, Marainya Bargas, Chelsey Stidham-Bargas, and Zachary Yates-Bargas.

Nellie was born on August 10, 1946 in Ulan, Oklahoma to Fred and Ada (Williams) Ritchey. She married Eugene Bargas on July 3rd 1964 in McAlester. She was Supervisor over SPD at McAlester Regional Health Center before retirement. She was a homebody, and loved watching her TV shows and eating Shelley's sweets. She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in McAlester.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Shelley Bargas of McAlester; a daughter, Regina Parker of McAlester; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Rippee of McAlester; one nephew, Dewayne Rippee and wife Denise; three nieces, Sheila Ritchey, Rita Ritchey, and Elizabeth Collins and husband Lyndell; and a sister-in-law, Ruby Ritchey; multiple great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Bargas; mother, Ada Ritchey; father, Reverend Fred Ritchey; brother, Reverend Earl Ritchey; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Rippee.
