Nelda Lea (Nelson) Inman, 83, of McAlester, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at her home.

Nelda was born May 17, 1939 at Ward Springs, Oklahoma to Leo and Inez (Smart) Nelson. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1957.  She lived in Pittsburg County all of her life.  On January 2, 1965, she married Jack Inman in McAlester.  She retired from the State of Oklahoma and was a long-time member of the Northtown Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carla Jo Brunson and husband Glen; son, Brad Inman; grandchildren, Richard Howard, Lauren Mendoza, Susan Inman and spouse, Daniel Bullard, Blake Inman, Taylor and Brooklin Brunson, and Caleb Brunson; great-grandchildren, Blakelee and Karter Howard, Rhett Lassiter, Gabriela Mendoza, Raidyn Bullard, Valentina Mendoza and Navy Brunson; brother and sister-in-law, Delbert and Myrna Nelson; aunt, Mary Alice Smart; nephews, Tony Gibby and Darrin Nash; great nephew, Jason Koss; great-nieces, Amy Jones and Holly Dunlap; sisters-in-law, Hazel Bynum and Ann Clifton; a host of cousins and friends; special friends, Rocky and Jamie Ragan, Ed and Sonya Crawley and Beto Mendoza.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Inman in 2010; parents, Leo and Inez (Smart) Nelson; brothers, Richard Nelson and Burl Nelson; sister-in-law, Vada Nelson; maternal grandparents, Jake and Ora (Hodges) Smart; paternal grandparents, Jim and Lougena (Morrison) Nelson; niece, Cathy Krafft and a great-granddaughter, Izabella Rose Mendoza.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Hughes officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Mark Harper, Kevin Goldsby, Roy Ward, Brant Gamble, Ed Crawley, Buddy Garvin and Rocky Ragan.  Honorary pallbearers will be Oben Weeks and Kenneth Brunson.
