Michael Robert McDonald, 62, of McAlester, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 in Watford City, North Dakota.   The family will welcome friends for visitation on Monday, January 22 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Pallbearers will be Butch Lecrone, Barry Stinson, Rick McCracken, Scott McDonald, Doug Kirkland and Matthew Carshall.

Mike McDonald was born on April 1, 1961 in Mesa, Arizona. The first part of his childhood was spent in Mesa, until his family moved to Clayton, Oklahoma, where Mike finished high school.  He and Laura were married on May 18, 1989, and they made their home in McAlester.  Mike has worked in the oil fields all his life and was currently working as a production manager in the oil fields of North Dakota.  In his spare time, Mike liked to go camping and bass fishing, and enjoyed a round of golf whenever he could.

Mike is survived by his wife, Laura; his children, Amber Key, Jeremy Snow and his wife Meredith, Michael McDonald and his wife Jana, and Kyle McDonald and his fiancé, Abby; his grandchildren are Lane, Sam, Wade, Chevie, Lexi, Jeremy, Linkin, Chandler, Clayton, and Saylor; a brother and sister-in-law, Scott Bailey McDonald and Melinda; and a sister and brother-in-law, Audra Kay Kirkland and Doug; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Mike was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Johna Lee Story.
