Michael Ashlock, Sr., 65, of McAlester, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at his home.

He was born on November 19, 1956 in Denison, Texas to Jess and Mary (Larence) Ashlock. He married Wanda Bell on November 12, 1976 in Lubbock, Texas.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, skiing and racing.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Ashlock of McAlester; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Ashlock, Jr. and spouse Robyn; grandchildren, Kaylynn Ashlock and Tarron of Stuart, OK, Kaylee Ashlock of Krebs, OK, Evan Ashlock of McAlester, OK and Ethan Craig of McAlester, OK; great-grandchildren, Keclee Pingleton and Ryker Pingleton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jesse Ashlock of Carlsbad, NM, Dale and Gina Ashlock of Kibler, AR, Terry Ashlock of Springtown, TX, Ben and Terri Ashlock of Pauls Valley, OK; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandy and Bud Bloxham of Gowen, OK, Kathy and Tommy Culberson of Wilburton, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and M.L. Ashlock; daughters, Kelley Ashlock and Wendy Lee Ashlock.

Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.  Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester with Ben Ashlock officiating.  Burial will follow at Tannehill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Jason Green, Jeff Harper, David Robertson, Cody Morgano, Will Robertson and Paul Heathcock.  Honorary pallbearers will be Keith McCullar, Gerald Heathcock, Paul Morgano, Mikey Joe Maisano, Mike Apple and Jessie Robertson.
