Memphis James Necessary, 17, of McAlester, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025 near Ozark, Arkansas. A memorial service is planned for Friday, June 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester.
Memphis was born on May 1, 2008 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to William and Jenifer (Lovett) Necessary. They moved to McAlester when Memphis was just a baby. Memphis attended Krebs Schools, where he was awarded the second ever "Kindness Award". He then transferred to McAlester Schools in the ninth grade, where he was currently in his junior year. While attending McAlester high school, Memphis was very active in the FFA. Memphis loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting or trail riding, and was a video game enthusiast. He attended the First Baptist Church of McAlester.
Memphis is survived by his parents, William and Jenifer Necessary; a sister, Sherry Necessary; grandmother, Donna Chapman and husband Bob; great grandparents, Bill and Delores Ross; aunts and uncles, Nickolas White and Elizabeth, Stephanie Sams and Denton, Phillip Lovett, Jackie Lovett and April, and Carla Poindexter; and numerous great aunts and great uncles, and other relatives.
