Mary Kay Sanders, 69, of Haileyville, passed away Thursday, July 7, in a McAlester nursing center.  Viewing will be Friday, July 8, and funeral services will be Saturday, July 9, at 10:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne, with Julie Collins officiating.

Kay Sanders was born on Dec. 22, 1953 in Superior, Arizona to Thomas Marion Barnett and Dorothy Jean (Pollard) Barnett.  She grew up in the Finley and Snow area, but Haileyville has been home all her adult life.  Being a stay-at-home wife and mother, nothing was more important to her than her family.

Kay is survived by her 2 daughters, Kristy Russell and husband Joe, and Shana Arnold and husband Daniel; grandchildren are Kaylin Mills and husband Hunter, Amancha Sloan and husband Daylon, and Shaylin Arnold; great grandchildren are Oaklynn Mills, Hallie Mae Mills and Gatlin Sloan; a brother, Thomas Darrel Barnett; and special friends, Roger Click and Kathy Freeman.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
