Mary Lee Pridemore

Mary Lee Pridemore, age 85, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, in Colbert, Okla. The family will welcome friends for visitation on Friday, Oct. 23 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 1:00 p.m. at the Blanco Cemetery.

Mary Lee Pridemore was born on April 25, 1941 in McAlester, one of 6 children, to Claude Ingram and Cora (Windel) Ingram. She grew up on the family home-place in the Arch community and graduated from Haileyville High School. She then attended college and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in 4 years. She married John Robert Pridemore in 1962, and he preceded her in death in 2024. Mary was an ardent student of the Bible and spent many hours writing extensive study guides to help people in their Bible studies.

Mary is survived by her children, Bob Pridemore and Jacque, Angela Kay Tynan and Ken, and Carolyn Gale Owen; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her parents.
