Mary Katherine Jackson, 86, of McAlester, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025 at a local nursing center.

Mary was born on February 13, 1939 in Duncan, Oklahoma to E. Mavis and Modell (Sullivan) Cash. She was an Administrative Assistant at James Crabtree Correctional Center and after retirement, she worked part time at the McAlester Probation and Parole. She was affiliated with Life Church in McAlester and First Baptist Church in Cherokee, Oklahoma. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, her dog Mattie and her cat Cookie, singing in the church choir in Cherokee, Oklahoma, playing bingo, and making the best apple pie this side of Heaven.

Survivors include her children, Conan Carl Jackson of Norman, OK; Gail Katherine Caywood and spouse, Rickey Caywood of Stuart, OK, Angela Rose Jackson of Kingfisher, OK, Damon Eric Jackson and spouse Virginia of Chardin, OH; grandchildren, Heather Jones, Blake Jackson, Conan Jackson, Jr., Nathan Caywood, Holly Caywood, Garrett Caywood, Bethany Sallee, Brittany Guffy, Lily Jackson, Dalton Jackson, and Logan Jackson; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson, and expecting one great-great granddaughter in July; special cousin, John Cash; two sisters, Rita Lake and Sue Daughtery; numerous relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by, her mother, Modell Stephens; father, E. Mavis Cash; grandmother, Mattie Cash; grandfather, Emmett Cash; brother, Butch Cash; grandson, Grant Jackson; and daughter-in-law, Candy Jackson.

A family celebration of life service will take place at Rickey and Gail Caywood's home in Stuart, Oklahoma.
