Marty Steven Soblaskey, 47, of McAlester, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at McAlester Regional Health Center. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Brumley-Mills Funeral Home, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Marty was born on February 11, 1977 in McAlester. He was the son of Josh and Tanya (Henley) Soblaskey and Matt Phillips. He graduated from Moore High School in 1995. He married Jessica Shalynn Johnson and built a life filled with love and laughter. He was a member of the North A Street Church of Christ in McAlester.

He had a passion for cooking, always finding joy in preparing meals for others. He enjoyed snowboarding and watching football and NASCAR races. Despite a long and challenging battle with diabetes, he faced life with toughness.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jessica Soblaskey of McAlester; his father, Matt Phillips; his grandmother, Sherrill Jane Soblaskey; his brother, Tyler Soblaskey and wife Jackie; and his sister, Kaitlyn Sink and husband Brendan. Brother and sisters-in-law, Ronald Williams, Peyton Campanna, Haylee Ferrari, April Johnson, and Stephanie Williams. He also leaves behind special nieces Navaeh, Kelly, Kylee, Brooklyn, Lily and Sydney. His extended family includes cousins Kevin Connor, Kellye Semeski, and Billy Wheeler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Josh and Tanya Soblaskey; maternal grandparents, Leroy and Joyce Henley; paternal grandfather, Alfred Louis; and Aunt Pam Henley.
