Marty Jackson, 74, of Wilburton, passed away Wednesday, June 29, at the OU Health Center in Edmond.  Viewing will be Tuesday, July 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 6, at 10:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in Hartshorne, with Pastor Terry Sensibaugh officiating.  Burial will follow at Centerpoint Cemetery in Wilburton.

Marty Jackson was born on March 20, 1948 in Seminole to Jesse Sperlin and Margie Billie.  She grew up in that area and has lived mostly in the Wilburton area her adult life.  She loved animals of all kind, but was particularly drawn to cats.  She rescued and raised many cats, providing them with a good home and good care.

Marty is survived by her husband, Barney Mote; her children, Travis Jackson and wife Connie, Marty White, Louise Jackson, and Ricky Jackson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Hall and husband Junior Cody; a brother, Ricky Hall; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.  She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Jesse Lewis Sperlin and Raymond Hall.
