Marty Malcolm Atkins, 61, of McAlester, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at his home.

He was born on January 8, 1960 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Mac and Marie (Sudduth) Atkins.  He married Loretta J. Wells on November 12, 2004 in Antlers, Oklahoma.  He was a mechanic at McCullar's Body Shop in Haileyville, Oklahoma.  He served as a Corporal in the Army National Guard and enjoyed camping, fishing and family gatherings.  He was of the Jehovah Witness faith.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Atkins of McAlester, OK; children and spouses, Christopher and Miranda Atkins of S.C., Joshua Trey and Dawn Atkins of N.C.; step-children and spouses, Kenneth and Kristina Little of Crowder, OK, Jesse Little of McAlester, OK and Samantha and Jeff Staples of McAlester, OK; 17 grandchildren and a sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Clifford Penfield of Campobello, S.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mac and Marie Atkins and a brother, Mickey Atkins.

No services are scheduled.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
