Lyndoll Joyce Ingraham, 88, of McAlester, passed away Sunday, June 6, in McAlester.  A chapel memorial service will be held on Friday, June 18, at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel with Red Coleman officiating.

Joyce Ingraham was born on Feb. 9, 1933 in Seminole to George S. and Leona (Johnson) Bates.  She grew up here in McAlester and after graduating from high school she attended Abilene Christian College, then Southeastern State College in Durant, where she earned a Master's Degree in education.  She returned to McAlester to start her career in public education, teaching at Edmond Doyle Elementary School until retiring.  She was a long-time member of the Main and Oklahoma Church of Christ.  Joyce had been married to Gordon Wright, who preceded her in death, then to Fred Ingraham, who also preceded her in death.

Joyce is survived by a grandson, Jeremy Holt and wife Brittany and their son, Jackson; a sister, Sunny Williams; nieces, Tammy and Heather and her husband Mike; and special friends, Ann and Red Coleman.  She was preceded in death by her 2 husbands; her parents; and a daughter, Patty Mills
