Dec 12, 1936 — Apr 2, 2021
Oklahoma City
Loretta Faye (Posey) Due, 84, of Oklahoma City, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 in Oklahoma City.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester with Pastor Paul Vanderveer officiating. Burial will follow.
She was born on December 12, 1936 in Watonga, Oklahoma to Clifford Melton and Clancy Ann (Camp) Posey. She was a legal secretary and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, arts and crafts, reading on Nook and helping out at church. She loved reading her Bible and discussing it with her brother and son-in-law. She is probably in heaven right now talking to Pat about it. She was strong in her faith and was a prayer warrior. If she knew of anyone in need she tried to help and always prayed for them. She used to sing in the church choir and had a beautiful voice. She was always very kind and always put others first and was quick to forgive and forget.
Survivors include her daughters, Cheri Anne Crowson of McAlester and Linda Kaye Due of Oklahoma City; grandson, Griffin Crowson; brother, Robert Franklin Posey of Yukon, OK and sister, Joann Martinez of Midwest City, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Velda Rogers; an infant child and son-in-law, Pat Crowson.
