Linda Kay Wesson-Polansky was born August 27, 1949 in Prescott Arizona and sadly left this world on April 5, 2023.

Her loved ones who rode that last trail into the sky before her were her parents, Paul Dillard Wesson and Violet Louise Myers-Wesson, as well as some very special friends whom she considered family, Charlett Nail, Ben Mauldin, Vernon and Jerry.

She leaves behind her daughter Chrissie Long of Edison NJ, her brother and his wife Paul and Paula Wesson of Chino Valley, AZ; four grandchildren, Jovon Harrison of Edison NJ, Taray Carey-Majkowski of Union NJ, Taquera Carey-Rodriguez of Brooklyn, NY, and Nia Long of Philadelphia PA; two nieces, Jeannette Wesson of Sholo AZ, and Paulette Wesson-Owens of Coahoma Texas; five great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jason, Morgan, Camren, and Jay-cion Harrison all of New Jersey, and a host of many many friends that she has loved and considered family.

Linda never did anything half way, it was all or nothing with her!  She was always active because she wanted to keep busy even if it was just her hands.  After her retirement from her years of service at the MCAAP Base she became an extremely avid craftsman at sewing. From bowl cozies, purses, bags, wallets, baskets, to quilts she mastered every hobby she decided embark upon. Her workmanship was absolutely beautiful.  She loved to camp and put in miles of trail riding with friends whom she considered extended family.  She also talked very fondly of her "Cowboy Church" family that she would spoil often with baked goods. Her cake balls were absolutely heavenly.  She had other passions such as her "Bad Girls Riding Club" where she won many awards and lifelong friends. She was very passionate about the chores and tasks those ladies accomplished.

Another of Linda's past adventures was her membership in the "Red Hat Purple Chaps" group. She had a blast during the parades and lunches. Linda acquired many lifelong friendships during her "Sister's on the Fly" camp outs. She was always a great host when she would put on several of her yearly events. Known for always having a milk can meal and gifting people with hat visors. You rarely saw Linda outside in the sun without a visor. She enjoyed decorating and remodeling her vintage camper along with owning and dedicating a camper for her mom. Everything Linda did she did with passion and gave it her all.  She enjoyed working outside taking great care of her property and her beloved animals But detested Oklahoma weather. She was always concerned for her fur babies she never stayed gone longer than a few days unless they went with her.  She certainly loved her home State of Arizona, however, sitting on the back of a horse or around a campfire building memories among friends was one of her greatest passions and kept her grounded to Oklahoma.

She will be missed and thought of often and I know if heaven has campfires that's where she'll be while waiting for her loved ones to join her in heaven.

The family will have a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Kiamichi Country Cowboy Church, 1000 Gloryland Rd, McAlester, OK, with Pastor Mitch Arteberry officiating.
