Linda K. (Carlton) Stone, 81, of McAlester, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at home.  No services are scheduled at this time.

Linda was born on December 11, 1942 in Caney, Kansas to James C. Carlton, Jr. and Katherine P. (Dismuke) Carlton. She enjoyed ranching and gardening and was a master gardener.

Survivors include two children, Kathy Rowell of McAlester, OK, John Hernandez and wife, Ginger of McAlester, OK; seven grandchildren, Bryce Hernandez and Rebecca of Kansas City, MO, Micah Emery of McAlester, OK, Brayden Hernandez and Matthew of Tulsa, OK, Samantha Lewis and Bo of Kiowa, OK, Jonathon Wesley of Blanco, OK, Amber Buck and David of McAlester, OK, and Joshua Rowell of Atoka, OK; 14 great-grandchildren; one great grandson who took pride in providing care for her; sisters, Celestine (Jan) Peterson and Phillip of McAlester, Carolyn Barros of Ft. Worth, TX, Anna Harp of Rodgers, AR, and Lou Ann Robertson of Wichita, KS.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, James C. Carlton, Jr. and Katherine P. Carlton; and a brother, James C. Carlton III.
