Larry Daniel Odom

Larry Daniel Odom, 75, of McAlester, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026 at McAlester Regional Health Center.

Larry was born on April 5, 1951 in Whitesboro, Oklahoma to Glenn and Anna Lucille (Luce) Odom. He married Joyce Lott in 1983 in Arkansas. He owned a tire shop in Talihina before moving to McAlester. He lived almost 50 years in the McAlester area and was an auto mechanic, specializing in alignments. He worked for Firestone for many years and later the Ford dealership and Discount Wheel & Tire. He enjoyed hunting, riding 4-wheelers, camping, catching rattlesnakes and being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Odom of Arpelar, OK; daughter, Kimberly Dorsey of McAlester, OK; two sons, Larry Odom II of Arpelar, OK and Jeff Odom of Krebs, OK; grandchildren, Garett Cooley, Danielle Cooley, Trinity Dorsey, Gracie Odom, and Mercedes Padgett; one great-grandchild; sisters, Glenda Fite of Wilburton, OK, Sharon Robinson of Quinton, OK, and Lisa Cox of Wilburton, OK.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Odom; mother, Lucille Odom; father, Glenn Odom; and a brother, Tom Odom; first wife, Christi Young.
