Obituary

Larry Wayne Cooper, 77, of McAlester, passed away Tuesday, March 7, in Tulsa.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 15, at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be Thursday, March 16, at 10:00 a.m. at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery.

Larry Cooper was born on Aug. 11, 1945 in Henryetta to Orland and Rosine (Bray) Cooper.  After high school he joined the U. S. Army and served until receiving his honorable discharge.  After his military service he lived in Michigan and worked for a temporary staffing service business.  Soon he decided he could do that himself and started his own staffing services business.  That business quickly grew and expanded to include offices in several large cities across the country.  His love of golf and many nights singing karaoke until the sun came up were just a few of his little joys in life.

Larry is survived by his wife, Hilaria Cooper; children, Lawrence "Larry" Cooper, Tammy Svidron, Darryl Cooper, Joanie Amorosa, and a step-daughter, Fiona Amamangpang; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Judy Kolman; a half-sister, Sheila Seiber.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robert Cooper.
