Kirby Cordell King II, 96, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center in Amarillo, Texas.

Graveside military service will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Massey Cemetery near Crowder, Oklahoma.

Kirby was born on February 27, 1928 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Kirby C. King I and Ozy Evelyn (Leader) King-Driver. He served in the United States Marines during World War II. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was of the Assembly of God faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Melanie D. King of Amarillo, TX; sons and daughters-in-law, Kirby C. King III and wife, Karen of Corpus Christi, TX, Walter D. King and wife, Roshanda of Aubrey, TX and Kevin A. King of Moore, OK; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; nephew, Avey King of Oklahoma City, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Curtis Garland King and Billy Charles Newby.
