Kenneth Wayne Strain, Sr., 71, of McAlester, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at his home.

Kenneth was born on December 6, 1951 in Talihina, Oklahoma to William Samuel and Katie (Nail) Strain. He married Norma Ann Wilson on November 23, 1983 in Kiowa, Oklahoma. He was a heavy equipment operator and enjoyed playing pool, camping and fishing. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Strain; children, Kenneth Wayne Strain, Jr. and Katie Denise Strain; two grandchildren, Crissa and Katelynn; sister, Laverne Caudill and brother, Jim Wedford Strain.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Sanford Strain, Wenford Strain, Lenford Strain, T.J. Ledford Strain, Billy Edford Strain, Stanford Strain and Lanford Strain; sisters, Nellie Smith, Dollie Spears, Shirley Cook and Joetta Strain.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31 ^st at the Featherston Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Larry Begley officiating.  Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Strain, Jr., John Pitts, Jerry Pitts, Jeremy Pitts, Ronnie Nail and Jimmy Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Raymond Rowell, James Coberly, Alfred Nail and Loren Bevans.
