Kenneth Patrick Nelson, 63, of Eufaula, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024 at his home, with his family at his side.  The family will welcome friends for visitation at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home on Friday, September 13, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be Saturday, September 14, at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Indianola Cemetery.

Kenneth Nelson was born on March 17, 1961 in Oklahoma City to John "Jay" Nelson and Mary Ann (Yates) Nelson.  He grew up in McAlester and graduated from McAlester High School with the class of 1979.  He went to work for Greyhound Bus for several years, helping his mom and dad. Later he worked in the fast-food business and in the oil fields, and was currently working as a car salesman for Sam Wampler's Freedom Ford Dealership.  Kenneth liked working with people, so sales was just right for him.  He also helped his dad with training cutting horses.  In his spare-time, he enjoyed listening to music, watching football, reading his Bible, and cars.  His greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Debbie Nelson; 2 daughters, Amber Nicole Nelson, and Felicia Michelle (Nelson) Arpoika and husband Billy; grandchildren Xander Wayne Stanley, Aryella Arpoika, and Princess Arpoika; a brother, R. C. Nelson and his son John Nelson, III; cousins, Denise, Judy and Linda; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sandra Reid, Chuck Tripp, and Greg and Angie Casey; and several nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wayne Nelson; grandmother, Mary Yates; an uncle, Jimmy Nelson; an aunt, Jean Husband and her husband, Wayne; parents-in-law, Doris and Cecil Casey; and sisters-in-law, Sheila Lovett and Linda Reon.
