A Memorial Service for Judy Blackmon Jones, age 74 of McAlester, OK, who passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 2pm at New Palestine Baptist Church in Picayune, MS.  Judy was a native of Picayune, MS. She spent most of her life being a homemaker. She married her husband Layman in 1975 and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She had a very close relationship with her brother Glen and his family.  Judy was a very loyal friend and kept in touch with many people she cared for even after moving to Oklahoma to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Layman Jones; her parents Charles "Blue" Blackmon and Minnie Lee Stockstill Blackmon; her brother Glen Blackmon; her niece Kelli Blackmon Fleming; her great-niece Hayley Fleming; her great-nephew Tyler Murphy; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Joe Jones and Myrtle Lakey Jones; her brothers-in-law James Sutton and wife Faye, J.L Jones and wife Monta, Don Jones, Gene Jones; her sisters-in-law Melva Henry, Joyce Stephens and husband Joe. Survivors include her children Tonya Ettner and husband Fred and Corey Jones; her grandchildren Kylie Martin, Garrett Martin, Hayden Jones and Rylee Jones and their mother, Cassondra Jones; her brothers-in-law Tommy Jones and Buzz Henry; her sisters-in-law Peggy Blackmon, Janie Tucker and husband Leroy, JoAnn Ryan, Nancy Beaty, Donna Jones; her niece Robin Hughes and husband Kevin; her nephew Bo Blackmon and wife Jenny as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
