Judith K. Parent, 80, of Kiowa, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 at McAlester Regional Health Center.  Arrangements for cremation have been completed.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3, at 3:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester with Pastor Danny Drake.

Judith Parent was born on August 1, 1943 in Clarkson, Nebraska to Donald and Viola Mae (Paper) Sucha.  She grew up there, then as an adult, met her future husband, Joe Albert Parent, and they were married in Utah.  They made their home in Kiowa for a few years before moving to California.  Soon after, they returned to Kiowa for good.  Judith worked at Komar as a seamstress, then a packager, until retirement.

She is survived by 3 sons, Donald Parent, Ricky Parent and Amanda, and Mark Parent; grandchildren, Gunner Parent, Taran Parent, Sara Kemp, Lucy Sutton, and Steven Garcia; several great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Donald, Janet, Betty, Mary, Susie, and Cathy; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
